Improve quality of life for Schedule Tribe families in Telangana through land mobilization and sustainable livelihood.

HEKS / EPER Programme Implemented through APFLR: 

EFFORT is working with 6 Mandal Coordinators in 6000 Families of 74 Villages of 16 Mandals in 6 Districts- Mahabubabad, Bhadradri (Kothagudem), Jayashankar (Bhupalapalli), Komaram Beem (Asifabad ), Nalgonda and Nagarkarnool of Telangana State.

Programmes Supported By HEKS:

  1. Land Mobilization: The project has 6 MCOs and working closely with APFLR/TSPFLR. MCOs are actively participating inilization.In this part Met Assistant Director (PISA) commissioner for tribal welfare at Hyderabad submitted to representation for land titles regarding Chinthiryala village. After that on 27-02-2017. Re No. Ab/RoFR/ITDA/112/2017 Sri Mr.Rajeevgandhi Hanumanthu IAS, Project Officer (FAC) ITDA Badrachalam from a letter to the Tahasildar Aswapuram for conducting of an individual’s survey in Chinthiryala village, Aswapuram Mandal Deputing of surveyors for an individual survey. Land data resubmitted to MRO’s, RDO’s, DFO’s, ITDA PO’s, and District Collectors regarding the state. Apply to RTI from six districts regarding finding the pending land details, they are Nagarkurnool,Nalgonda,Bhadradri and Asifabad,Mahabubbad and Jayashankardistricts. Conducted postcard campaign at Thirnampalli village, Mahaboob Nagar district, Pogilla Nalgonda district and Macharla village, Warangal district.

  2. Land Development: During first six months of 2017 major concentration was on land mobilization to ST families. But the focus for land development for ST Families has been initiated by concerned MCOs through various government resources in 2017 (From January to June). RARS(Resanal Agriculture Research Station) conducted training for sustainable agricultural practices at Palem village in Nagar Kurnool district.RARS will be given to seeds June first or second week.45 members attended In this training.

  3. Disaster Risk Redaction: By the end of this reporting period, Disaster committees are formed in 16 villages from Nalgonda, Nagarkarnool, Bhadradri(Kothagudem), Mahabubabad and Jayashankar(Bhupalapalli) Districts. In all 16 villages Hazard mapping process has been completed. To know the status and stand of the state government on the issue of DRR, MCOs are meeting concerned District collector’ office for the information.

  4. Strengthen the APFLR / TSPFLR: To establish the forum at state level, the concept has been explained the POOC in the village meetings along with the importance of having village / Mandal / District committees. To initiate the process, village and Mandal committees are formed and started equipping these committees regarding their roles and responsibilities etc.
    • In 2017 Mobilized FRA land to the extent of 1532.44 acres for 480 landless families.
    • RARS (Resanal Agriculture Research Station) conducted training for sustainable agricultural practices at Palem village in Nagar Kurnool district. RARS given to seeds 45 members.
    • Submission of applications to MPDO and ITDA PO for subsidy schemes i.e. Drip Irrigation, Sprinklers, Seeds and MGNREGS works for tribal communities.
